D4vd, the rising singer born David Anthony Burke, is accused of fatally stabbing a 14-year-old girl he reportedly impregnated, according to evidence presented in a Los Angeles courtroom. The case has drawn widespread attention due to the shocking nature of the allegations and the celebrity status of the defendant.
Evidence Reveals Pregnancy and Abortion
Text messages obtained by prosecutors show that the teenager, Celeste Rivas Hernandez, was pregnant with D4vd's child. She later had an abortion, which she described in a text as “killing my kid” for him. The messages indicate the relationship began when she was 13 and he was 18.

On the fourth day of the preliminary hearing, Los Angeles police detective Corey Farell testified about explicit photographs exchanged between the pair. The victim’s parents left the courtroom as the images were described.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
D4vd faces charges of murder and child sexual abuse. Prosecutors argue he fatally stabbed Rivas Hernandez in April 2025 to prevent her from revealing their sexual relationship as his music career was taking off. He has pleaded not guilty to all counts.
A key piece of evidence is a video in which Burke told police he believed the victim was 18. The defense is expected to challenge that claim.
