D4vd Hearing Details High Hopes and Brutal End in Murder Case 2026

The D4vd murder case hearing has revealed disturbing details about the relationship between the singer and 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, including high hopes for a future together and the brutal end she suffered. David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, faces charges of murder, child sexual abuse, and mutilation of human remains after Celeste's body was discovered in September. The preliminary hearing presented text messages that paint a complex picture of manipulation and violence.

Key Evidence Presented in the D4vd Murder Case Hearing

During the recent court proceedings, prosecutors introduced text messages exchanged between Burke and Celeste dating back to 2022, when she was just 11 years old. These messages reveal Burke's dreams of an idyllic future, including plans for her to move in with him, a wedding in Italy, and having children together. However, the reality of her being a minor and reported missing cast a dark shadow over these aspirations.

One particularly telling message from June 2024 read, "i can't wait to move in tg without the cops bitching baby," according to Courthouse News. This came months after police had visited Burke in February 2024 after finding his number in Celeste's phone log during a missing person investigation. Burke claimed she had told him she was 18, but texts suggest he wanted to keep their sexual relationship secret.

The Alleged Abuse and Attempted Concealment

Prosecutors allege that Burke stabbed Celeste to death and then severed her limbs to prevent her from revealing their relationship. The relationship reportedly began in November 2023 when Burke was 18 and Celeste was 13. Burke has pleaded not guilty to all charges, but the evidence presented so far paints a troubling picture of control and fear.

Social media sleuths, particularly on Discord where Burke had gained fame as a gamer, have been combing through his past content for clues. The case has sparked widespread outrage and concern about online predators and the vulnerability of minors in digital spaces.
