Top Films to Watch This Week
Kicking off the cinema highlights is A Useful Ghost, winner of best film at Cannes Critics’ Week. This surreal tale follows a woman reincarnated as a vacuum cleaner, blending Marxist thriller, supernatural romance, and foul-mouthed monks into an oddball treat. For those seeking quieter drama, On the Sea offers a graceful depiction of repression and queer desire in a Welsh mussel-harvesting community, with standout performances by Barry Ward and Lorne MacFadyen.
