Seth Meyers took aim at Trump 2.0 in a blistering monologue, calling the administration a constant stream of humiliation for everyday Americans struggling with rising costs. On Late Night, the host mocked Donald Trump’s bizarre priorities as the economy falters.
Trump’s Obsessions Overlook Real Issues
Meyers pointed out that while Americans face inflation and high grocery prices, Trump remains “laser-focused” on “important stuff” like magnetic catapults and sperm counts. He replayed 2024 campaign footage where Trump promised to end inflation and lower gas costs—promises Meyers says have been broken.

The Grocery Gaffe
“The way Trump brings up groceries suggests he just found out about groceries,” Meyers joked. He noted that after taking office, “his collection of internet-poisoned weirdos got obsessed with weird shit” instead of solving real problems.

| Lower gas prices | No significant change |
| Affordable groceries | Prices remain high |
RFK Jr. and the Sperm Count Panic
Meyers also targeted Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who lectured the public about teenage sperm counts. “Is there an erotic fiction section in AARP magazine?” Meyers quipped, adding, “Are you a gym teacher subbing in for health class?” He revealed that a study found the panic was “nonsense.”
Pete Hegseth’s Testosterone Fixation
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth wants annual testosterone checks for the military. “What about the war in Iran?” Meyers asked. “Is testosterone gonna fix the war in Iran?” He called the focus “insane” as the conflict has “no end in sight.”
Trump’s Magnet Obsession
Meyers highlighted Trump’s fixation on aircraft carrier catapults, specifically wet magnets versus steam catapults. “I’ve never seen someone get this worked up about a fucking magnet,” Meyers said, doubting wet magnets cause any real problem.
