Tadej Pogacar is set for Tour de France glory in a shortened finale after stage 20 was won by Richard Carapaz. The Slovenian champion leads by over six minutes, ensuring a record-equalling fifth title in Paris.
Wildfires Shorten the Final Stage
Wildfires near Bordeaux and Biscarrosse have consumed more than 36,000 hectares of forest, forcing the Tour organisers to reduce Sunday's stage to just 89km. The route will start on the Champs-Élysées and include two laps plus circuits around the Butte Montmartre. The prefecture police redeployed forces to fight the fires, impacting the race's logistics.
