RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet: Global launch with a price from 469 euros 2026

After debuting in China last month as the RedMagic Tablet 3 Pro, RedMagic is bringing its powerful gaming tablet to international markets under the new name RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet.

The Astra comes with a 9.06-inch LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 1504x2400px and a 16:10 aspect ratio. It offers a refresh rate of up to 165Hz, HDR support, PWM dimming to reduce flicker and an impressive brightness of up to 1,600 nits. The frames around the screen are symmetrical at 4.9mm, giving the tablet a modern and elegant look.

For the ultimate user experience, Astra features stereo speakers and dual haptic motors, offering high-quality sound and realistic haptics in both multimedia and gaming environments.

Under its hood is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (“Elite”), Qualcomm's flagship SoC for Android devices, which comes with a sophisticated cooling system. It includes liquid metal, a large vapor chamber, but also an active fan, reducing the temperature of the chipset by up to 8°C, according to RedMagic.

The device incorporates an 8,200mAh battery with 80W fast charging support, allowing charging from 0% to 50% in just 20 minutes. The USB-C (USB 3.2 Gen 2) port supports image output up to 8K at 60Hz, while with 4K output a refresh rate of up to 144Hz is possible.

Availability and price
The RedMagic Astra Gaming Tablet will be available in two colors:

Black: 12/256GB, 16/512GB, 24GB/1TB

Silver: 12/256GB, 16/512GB

Availability starts on July 16, with a suggested retail price of €499 / $499 / £439. However, from July 10 to 15, those interested can take advantage of the Early Bird offer, priced at €469 / $469 / £409. The offer includes a free pair of RedMagic gaming finger sleeves and the 80W charger, which is not included in the basic package.

Global rollout covers North America, Europe, UK, Asia Pacific and Gulf countries.
