Aston Villa have signed former Everton goalkeeper Emily Ramsey on a free transfer, marking a key move in the women's football transfer market. The 25-year-old received an England call-up in 2023 and is highly admired by Villa for her experience across the Women's Super League.
Emily Ramsey's Journey to Aston Villa
Ramsey helped Manchester United win promotion to the Women's Super League via the second-tier title in 2018-19. She spent three years at Everton after an initial loan spell from United, and also had a stint at Liverpool between 2017-18. Though she has yet to earn a senior England cap, Ramsey was a regular in England youth international sides throughout the age groups.
