During a search of the man's flat in Friedrichsfelde, authorities discovered a cache of digital files. In 2026, an investigator found multiple videos of sexual assaults, with the suspect allegedly as the assailant. The charges include infringement of the right to one’s own image, as each rape was recorded.
How the Suspect Operated: Sedation and Online Luring
According to the Berlin public prosecutor’s office, the suspect lured women on online dating platforms, then sedated them with a combination of sleeping tablets and alcohol. Victims reported no memory of the assaults, learning of them only after the videos were discovered. This modus operandi underscores the risk of date rape drugs in modern dating.
Victim Impact and Investigation
Ten of the 58 alleged victims remain unidentified. Those who spoke to investigators could not recall the attacks, relying solely on video evidence. The suspect has not yet responded to charges. This case follows a series of high-profile serial rape incidents involving filming, raising concerns about privacy and safety.
