Curtis Jones Transfer: Inter Make £30m Approach for Liverpool 2026

Curtis Jones transfer news reveals that Inter have made a fresh approach for the Liverpool midfielder, with a £30m offer likely on the table. The Italian champions are pushing to sign the 25-year-old before the summer window closes.

Inter's Increased Bid for Curtis Jones

Inter have returned with a new approach for Curtis Jones, raising their offer to €35m (£30m) after an initial €25m bid was rejected in June. Liverpool value their homegrown talent at closer to €40m, but with only one year left on his contract, the club faces a tough decision.

Intermediaries representing Inter have made fresh contact with Liverpool this week, signaling their willingness to meet the €35m figure. However, it remains doubtful whether Liverpool will accept, as they see Jones as a key part of their squad under new head coach Andoni Iraola.

Why Curtis Jones Might Leave Anfield

Jones has struggled to secure a regular starting spot at Liverpool, and last season under Arne Slot he showed signs of frustration. A recent row with Dominik Szoboszlai during a friendly win over Wrexham in New York, reportedly over the captain's armband, has added to speculation about his future.

Despite Iraola's commitment to keeping Jones and preserving local identity, Inter's determination and the risk of losing him for free next summer could test Liverpool's resolve. The prospect of a transfer fee now versus nothing later is a significant factor.

What This Means for Liverpool and Inter

For Liverpool, selling Jones would bring in a decent fee for a player who isn't a regular starter. But it would also reduce squad depth and remove a local academy product, which fans value highly.

For Inter, signing Jones would add quality and creativity to their midfield, and at €35m, they see it as a bargain given his potential. The player's desire for more playing time could be a decisive factor.
