Andy Burnham faces tough climate decisions as he stands on the threshold of No 10, with climate crisis impacts like heatwaves and wildfires already affecting Britain. The former Greater Manchester mayor has been quiet on environmental plans, but experts urge action amid record-breaking temperatures and economic losses.
Burnham's Climate Silence and Political Pressure
Environmental campaigners note that Andy Burnham has not prioritized the climate agenda publicly. Chris Venables of Green Alliance suggests this doesn't guarantee policy dilution, but rivals brief that climate champion Ed Miliband may lose a key role, potentially weakening low-carbon growth efforts.
