Roof bars for cars with roof rails are designed to support various materials and objects, as well as to accommodate different accessories like bike racks, kayak carriers, and more. Typically made from anodized aluminum, they are easy to install and come with locks. Their maximum load is usually not very high and rarely exceeds 80 kg.

The bike rack, used in combination with the roof bars, is made of aluminum or steel profiles. It allows you to easily mount the bicycle and lock it vertically with two rotating arm supports. The maximum load is about 20 kg.
When the bicycle is no longer needed, you can hang it on the bike rack hooks.
What You Need to Mount Roof Bars
- Screwdriver
- Allen key
- Roof bar kit
Time required: 1 hour
Step 1: Place the Bars on the Roof Rails
To mount roof bars provided as accessories for a specific car, no adjustment of the attachments is necessary: simply place the bars on the roof rails.
Step 2: Locate the Slots
On the roof rails, both front and rear, there are two pairs of slots into which we insert the pins located inside the supports of the roof bars.
Step 3: Lock the Bars
Once the pins are engaged, tighten the clamping screw located on the outside, under the movable plastic cover. Tightening compresses the clamps, driving the pins into the slots.
Attention to maximum load: The bars are locked in fixed, predetermined positions on the roof rails to provide the best support and load balance. Do not exceed the indicated maximum load.
Step 4: Install the Bike Rack
The bike rack is mounted on the vehicle's roof bars. It has a plate that is placed on the front roof bar. On this plate, we will mount the side supports.
Step 5: Connect the Bike Rack to the Bars
To connect the bike rack to the bars, insert two U-bolts from the underside so that the two threaded shanks enter the plate from opposite sides of the bar. Then tighten the nuts.
Step 6: Tighten the Rear Clamp
At the rear, there is no plate, so the rod is fastened with a U-bolt inserted from above and tightened from below with two nuts.
For a successful installation, ensure you have the right home improvement tools like a reliable screwdriver and Allen key. If you're storing your bike indoors after the trip, consider a storage bench for your garage or entryway. For outdoor gear, check out our garden supplies to keep your space organized.
