MediaMarkt VAT-Free Day Drops PlayStation Portal to €205.79 in Both Colors 2026

The PlayStation Portal has dropped to €205.79 at MediaMarkt during its VAT-Free Day, available in both White and Midnight Black. This is a rare discount on a PS5 accessory that has seen recent price increases.

Originally launched at €219, the Portal's price rose to €249 due to broader market adjustments. Today's deal brings it below the original MSRP, making it an attractive option for PS5 owners.

The offer is valid only until midnight, so gamers need to act fast to secure the handheld streaming device at this reduced price.

Why the PlayStation Portal Deal Matters

Since the last price hike, finding a good PlayStation 5 deal has been tough. Accessories, however, have seen occasional discounts, and today's VAT-Free Day at MediaMarkt puts the spotlight on the Portal.

At €205.79, the Portal is €43.21 below its current retail price of €249. That's a significant saving for a device that enhances the PS5 experience.

The discount applies to both color variants, giving buyers flexibility in style. Whether you prefer the classic White or the sleek Midnight Black, the price is the same.

What the PlayStation Portal Does

The PlayStation Portal is a remote play device designed to stream games from your PS5 console. It features an 8-inch LCD screen, DualSense-like controls, and connects over Wi-Fi.

Originally, its main purpose was to let you play your PS5 games when the TV is occupied or when you want to play in bed. It also works outside the home, as long as you have a stable internet connection.

Recently, a firmware update added cloud streaming support, allowing the Portal to run games without a PS5. This requires an internet connection and a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription.

Key Features and Benefits

• Remote Play: Stream games from your PS5 to the Portal over Wi-Fi.
• Cloud Streaming: Play supported games directly on the device with PS Plus Premium.
• DualSense Controls: Enjoy haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
• 8-inch LCD Screen: Crisp visuals for handheld gaming.
• Two Color Options: Choose between White and Midnight Black.
