Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has expressed his determination to keep Alexis Mac Allister and Alisson for the upcoming season, dismissing speculation linking the World Cup winner with Real Madrid and the Brazilian goalkeeper with Juventus. Speaking from Chicago as the Reds began their pre-season tour of the United States, Iraola made it clear that both players remain central to his plans despite interest from European giants.
Iraola's Commitment to Key Players
Mac Allister, who signed a long-term contract until 2028, has been one of Liverpool's standout performers. Iraola acknowledged that the midfielder may not be fully ready for the Premier League opener at Newcastle due to a post-World Cup break, but he dismissed any notion of a departure. "I want to keep my good players," Iraola said. "I'm looking forward more to signing new players rather than losing the ones we have here."
