Stupid Never Dies is a forthcoming action RPG from GPTrack50, a studio founded by former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi. In this gloriously ridiculous game, a weak zombie named Davy falls in love with a frozen corpse and must defeat the King of Monsters to bring her back for a date. The game’s world is like ours, but monsters are part of everyday life—until the King of Monsters (KOM) crushes civilization, leaving only 2% of humanity alive. Davy, the weakest of the weak, gains power by eating a mysterious egg, and his undead nature turns combat into a relentless offensive.
Love in a Post-Monster World
Davy discovers Julia’s body in a shopping centre and instantly falls in love. His quest to resurrect her and take her on a date is the emotional core of the game. This unlikely romance drives the narrative, blending dark humor with genuine heart. Kobayashi describes the tone as “funky zombie action”—fast, colorful, and darkly funny.

Combat Without Self-Preservation
Because Davy is already dead, traditional defensive tactics are useless. Guarding and dodging are pushed aside in favor of “attacking, attacking, attacking.” This aggressive style is a deliberate design choice, making every encounter a high-risk, high-reward frenzy. Kobayashi calls it a game made “by the action game lover, for the action gamer.”
Body Hack and Monster Transformations
Two main systems define Davy’s abilities. First, he can consume defeated monsters to steal their skills and transform into creatures like a werewolf, vampire, or harpy. Second, the body hack mechanic lets players replace his head, arms, and legs with equipment. Attach a sword to an arm and Davy gains sword attacks; fit a gun and he starts shooting. This modular approach adds deep customization and strategic variety.
