The Wallabies delivered a stunning nine-try performance to crush Italy 57-10 in Perth, giving coach Joe Schmidt a memorable farewell and ending a six-game losing streak. The emphatic victory showcased the attacking flair and defensive grit that new coach Les Kiss will look to build on ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
First-Half Dominance Sets the Tone
Australia exploded out of the blocks with speed and precision. Josh Canham crossed for the opening try after a rolling maul, followed by Tom Wright's brilliant finish off an Allan Alaalatoa offload. Hooker Brandon Paenga-Amosa added a third try within 12 minutes, putting the Wallabies up 19-0. Italy briefly responded through captain Michele Lamaro, but Canham's second try and Angus Bell's maul try pushed the lead to 31-5 by halftime.
