Features to Consider Before Buying a Pull-Up Bar
The Type of Pull-Up Bar You Choose
There are two types of pull-up bars currently on the market: simple bars, made up of just a bar with different types of anchoring, thickness, and models. The price of this type of bar is usually lower since the number of exercises you can do is smaller.
Then we have multifunctional bars that incorporate other features or additional uses, where there are two types of anchoring: one on the wall and the other on the floor. With this type of bar, you will be able to work more muscle groups as it incorporates other types of grips, anchoring for an Olympic bar, and, in some cases, a bench.
There Are Different Anchoring Points
Here, it depends a lot on where you live and what you need. There are different anchoring points: on the door, on the wall, on the ceiling, or mixed. Each one has different characteristics. Bars with door anchoring are usually simpler than wall-mounted ones, where there is usually more than one bar.
Depending on your needs and limitations, and the training you are going to do, you can opt for one anchoring or another. There are bars that do not require screws, which can be very useful in certain situations; these are usually the bars with door anchoring.
