COS'È LO SMALTO IN PORCELLANA SULLA GHISA. È vetro che si lega alla ghisa ad alte temperature. Una particella di vetro, chiamata fritta, viene applicata al recipiente in ghisa e poi cotta a temperature tra 1200 e 1400° F. La fritta di vetro si scioglie e si fonde con la ghisa, formando un legame. Lo smalto in porcellana sulla ghisa è resistente al calore e impermeabile all'acqua e ad altri alimenti.

Cucinare e prendersi cura della tua Lodge Enameled Cast Iron
1. Lasciare raffreddare le pentole.
2. Sebbene siano lavabili in lavastoviglie, si consiglia il lavaggio a mano con acqua calda e sapone e una spazzola in nylon per preservare l'aspetto originale delle pentole. Non usare succhi di agrumi o detergenti a base di agrumi (inclusi alcuni detersivi per lavastoviglie), poiché possono opacizzare la lucentezza esterna.
3. Se necessario, utilizzare spugne di nylon o raschietti per rimuovere i residui di cibo; spugne metalliche o utensili graffieranno o scheggeranno lo smalto.
4. Le macchie leggere possono essere rimosse strofinando con un panno umido e Lodge Enamel Cleaner o altro detergente per ceramica seguendo le istruzioni sulla bottiglia.
5. Asciugare accuratamente le pentole prima di riporle. Non impilare le pentole.
