Manchester City and Spurs Chase Cody Gakpo in Transfer Rumors 2026

Cody Gakpo transfer rumors heat up as Manchester City and Tottenham chase the Liverpool forward. The latest football transfer gossip suggests a potential Premier League shake-up, with clubs eyeing key reinforcements before the window closes.

Manchester City and Tottenham Eye Cody Gakpo

According to recent reports, Manchester City have joined Tottenham in their admiration for Liverpool's Cody Gakpo. The Dutch international has been a standout performer since joining the Reds, but interest from top Premier League rivals could test Liverpool's resolve. However, with no incoming forwards at Anfield, the 25-year-old is unlikely to move this summer.

Why Gakpo Is a Prime Target

Gakpo's versatility and goal-scoring ability make him an attractive option for clubs seeking attacking depth. He can play across the front line, offering tactical flexibility. Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola, value such adaptability, while Tottenham's new manager sees him as a perfect fit for their pressing system.

Other Major Transfer Rumors in the Premier League

The rumor mill is buzzing with several other potential moves. Aston Villa, after a disappointing opening weekend, are linked with Milan's Rafael Leão, Nicolas Jackson, and Jean-Philippe Mateta to bolster their attack. Meanwhile, Chelsea's Xabi Alonso has refused to rule out an exit for Enzo Fernández, with Manchester City reportedly listening and ready to pounce.

Midfield Reinforcements and Defensive Targets

Villa are also eyeing Rangers' Nicolas Raskin to strengthen midfield and Club Brugge's Joel Ordóñez for defense. Chelsea, facing rejection for Bournemouth's Alex Scott, may turn to Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga. These moves could reshape the Premier League landscape.
