Gripen Jets and Military Aid
The new funding will deliver a squadron of Swedish Gripen jets, versatile aircraft capable of air-to-air combat, ground strikes, and reconnaissance. This marks a significant boost to Ukraine’s air defense capabilities as the war approaches four and a half years.
Zelenskyy’s Personnel Overhaul
Zelenskyy defended his decision to dismiss popular defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov, citing broken relations between the ministry and top army leadership. Fedorov, an innovator in drone technology, clashed with traditional military establishment. Over 1,000 protesters gathered outside the presidential office in Kyiv, carrying placards in support of Fedorov.
