Corrections and clarifications are essential for maintaining journalistic integrity, and this update addresses a notable error involving Joaquin Phoenix's early film roles. The article mistakenly stated that Phoenix appeared in Spaceballs, but the correct film is SpaceCamp from 1986.
Joaquin Phoenix Film Role Correction
In a recent piece about early film roles that A-list actors may hesitate to mention, we incorrectly cited Spaceballs as one of Joaquin Phoenix's films. In fact, Phoenix was not in Spaceballs; the intended reference was to SpaceCamp, released a year earlier in 1986. This correction ensures that readers have accurate information about Phoenix's filmography.

Why Accuracy Matters in Celebrity News
When covering celebrities, even minor errors can mislead fans and damage credibility. Our commitment to corrections and clarifications helps uphold trust with our audience. We apologize for the oversight and appreciate reader vigilance in spotting discrepancies.
Additional Corrections in Recent Articles
Beyond the Phoenix mix-up, we have amended several other articles to ensure factual precision. For instance, an article on electric cars (11 July, p50) misnamed the EV charger operator Pod as Pod Point; the company changed its name in 2025. Other amended pieces include the Ronnie Le Drew obituary and a report on Shell's profits.
