Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has firmly stated his intention to keep Alexis Mac Allister and Alisson at Anfield for the upcoming season, dismissing recent transfer speculation linking the duo with moves to Real Madrid and Juventus respectively. Speaking during the club's pre-season tour in Chicago, Iraola emphasized the importance of retaining his star players and strengthening the squad ahead of the Premier League opener against Newcastle United.
Iraola’s Determination to Keep Mac Allister and Alisson
Iraola addressed rumors surrounding Alexis Mac Allister after the Argentine midfielder was reportedly a target for Real Madrid following his World Cup final performance. Despite Mac Allister not being fully match-fit due to an extended post-tournament holiday, Iraola insisted the 27-year-old remains central to his plans. “I want to keep my good players,” Iraola said. “I’m looking forward more to signing new players rather than losing the ones we have here.”
