Twisted Teens, the ragtag Louisiana band with a soulful twang, have dropped two of the year's best albums. Their latest tracks blend country-punk and literary rock, earning comparisons to Parquet Courts and Royal Headache.
Who Are Twisted Teens?
Caspian Hollywell and RJ “Razor Ramone” Santos form the core of this gritty, charismatic duo. Their music features a console steel guitar and Hollywell’s pockmarked, soulful voice—a tool that shifts from deadpan meditation to an almighty howl.

The Week’s Best New Tracks
Alongside Twisted Teens, this week shines with John Glacier’s “Bond Girl”—a hip-house banger with a Detroit bassline. But the spotlight remains on Twisted Teens' rapid-fire releases.
Blame the Clown and Florida Water Blues
Blame the Clown, their second album, is a hooky country-punk set that rivals major-label pop. The follow-up, Florida Water Blues, is rangier and more introspective. A third album, Holy Cross Tigers, drops later this year.
| Album | Release Date | Style |
|---|---|---|
| Blame the Clown | Early 2026 | Upbeat country-punk |
| Florida Water Blues | Recent | Introspective, gritty |
| Holy Cross Tigers | Later 2026 | Anticipated |
Why They Stand Out
Their origin story is foggy—neighbors who traveled cross-country for a steel guitar. This mythic quality feeds their raw, handmade sound. Their music feels anthemic yet shy, virtuosic yet ramshackle.
Key Takeaways
- Two albums in 2026: Blame the Clown and Florida Water Blues
- Third album Holy Cross Tigers coming soon
