Charlton Athletic Women's Super League 2026-27 season preview reveals a club ready to make a mark after nearly 20 years. The team, led by Karen Hills, returns to the top flight with a blend of experience and young talent, aiming to prove their promotion was no fluke.
Charlton Athletic's Road to the Women's Super League
Charlton's women's team was disbanded in 2007 after the men's team's relegation, but they have risen again. Last season, they impressed with a 27-game unbeaten streak and the meanest defence in WSL 2. Despite a mid-season blip, they secured promotion via a playoff win over Leicester, giving them confidence for the challenges ahead.
