Tadej Pogacar's dominant performance in the Tour de France continued with his fourth stage win, attacking on the steepest climb to clinch victory at Le Markstein. The Slovene rider showcased his rapacious appetite for stage wins, leaving rivals Jonas Vingegaard, Paul Seixas, and Remco Evenepoel in his wake.
Pogacar's Strategic Attack on the Col de Haag
Pogacar's decisive move came 1.6km from the summit of the Col de Haag, 7.5km from the finish line. This tactical brilliance earned him his 25th career Tour de France stage win. "We knew today was one of the hardest mountain stages," Pogacar said, "but we grabbed the opportunity."

Vingegaard's Warning and Pogacar's Morale
Despite his lead, Pogacar warned: "In 2023, I lost two minutes to Jonas in the time trial and the next day I lost eight minutes, so it's quite obvious anything can change in one day." His morale received a boost from partner Urska Zigart's call on Saturday morning. "I can say for now I'm more confident. Morale is good," Pogacar added.
Speculation on Vuelta a España
Speculation links Pogacar to competing in the Vuelta a España in August. The Spanish race is the only Grand Tour he has yet to win. Prince Albert of Monaco confirmed: "Pogacar said he would be at the start, so I hope that happens." Pogacar echoed: "If the Prince said, it's a high chance." A win would achieve a grand slam of Europe's three Grand Tours.
Tom Pidcock's Struggle
While Pogacar celebrated, Tom Pidcock suffered heavily from previous day's efforts. The double Olympic champion's podium challenge collapsed on the early slopes of the Col de Haag when Seixas's Decathlon CM pushed the pace.
