The Celebrity Traitors Episode Two: Live Recap and Highlights 2026

The Celebrity Traitors episode two delivered a nail-biting live episode filled with buried alive missions, strategic betrayals, and emotional meltdowns. As the contestants dug deep—literally—alliances were tested and new targets emerged.

The Buried Alive Mission: Gold, Graves, and Confusion

The episode kicked off with a bizarre mission: contestants had to climb into graves and be buried, with some graves containing gold. The goal was to dig up the gold, but only after being buried together. One player, chosen by the traitors, would not be buried and would hold a key. The convoluted rules left many confused, but the drama was undeniable.

Jerry Hall instantly decided she couldn't handle being buried and was pulled out, making her and Professor Hannah Fry vulnerable to murder. Meanwhile, Ross Kemp was spared from burial because James Acaster strategically chose him the night before. This move paid off, as Ross began having a paranoid meltdown, suspecting everyone.

James Acaster: The Master Traitor

James Acaster proved himself a traitor extraordinaire. His decision to keep Ross above ground not only sowed discord but also solidified his position as a cunning player. Ross's paranoia is likely to make him a target or a valuable ally, depending on how he plays his cards.

Mission Mayhem and Player Reactions

The mission itself was a chaotic affair, with contestants struggling to extract gold from the graves. The addition of a codeword only added to the confusion, leading to moments of frustration and hilarity. As the episode progressed, Joe Lycett pushed hard to get everyone to vote for Richard, but met surprising resistance. Many players seemed oblivious to Richard's threat, perhaps because they aren't watching the televised version like we are.
