Asian supermarkets chose to use leaves again instead of plastic, this should be one of the main objectives of today's society.
In this way reduce plastic consumption and educate people about the environmental and global changes and problems that we currently face.
Although many of us believe that recycling will solve the problem and continue using plastic, the opposite is actually true.
In 2013, 254 million tons of trash was produced in the US alone, and only about 30% was recycled.
This means that the rest ended up in a landfill and will remain there for up to 1000 years creating toxic gases, polluting the earth and even ending up in the oceans killing many innocent creatures.
Since most of us do not see reality, it is often hidden from us.
There is an important task to educate people and open their eyes to understand that the plastic packaging we use for a couple of seconds will be recovered. Up to 1000 years to decompose.
Natural:

To start a positive change, supermarkets in Asia have started using leaves to package their vegetables.

This type of packaging is not only cost-effective, but it also saves so much plastic that would otherwise be recycled or ended up in landfill.
Asian market:

Recently, Asian supermarkets in China have stopped importing garbage from around the world and have concentrated on recycling their own waste.
Prior to this, more than 30% of the world's waste would end up in China, leading to the popular belief that Asian countries are responsible for creating the majority of waste in the world.
Now, Asian countries, including Vietnam and Thailand, are looking for new ways to avoid plastic.
This became a solid foundation for new business ideas.
One of those ideas was a new ecological way of packaging their products avoiding plastic packaging.

One of his team members noticed a creative way to reduce plastic that a supermarket called Rimping Supermarket was using and decided to capture their shelves with his phone.
Little did they know that people all over the world would absolutely love this idea and start sharing it like crazy.
“We just received some items while we were waiting to sign some contracts with our lawyer, which was delayed, so we weren't even meant to be there at that time.
When I noticed the vegetables wrapped in banana leaves and just liked the idea, the ad showed my wife, who had picked some up to buy.
I thought I would take some photos and just post on the page, and that was it," in an interview with them they said that one of the Perfect Homes Chiangmai team members took these photos.
Awareness:

With more than 3.5 million views and more than 17 thousand shares, the idea became something that people can encourage more supermarkets to implement.
"I had no idea it was going to go viral, I was surprised when it reached 20 interactions."
It wasn't until the morning when I was at the gym that I started to realize what was happening, I pointed out to my friend that he now had something like a thousand ads and that this was crazy.
Once we finished the session, an hour later, he almostdoubled, that's when it really started to ring!
Plastic Free:

Some have noticed that not everything on the shelves is completely plastic-free, to which the supermarket responded that they are taking it one step at a time and doing everything they can, but it is not that easy.
Many products come to supermarkets pre-packaged and many companies are interested in wrapping their products in plastic, as it is the cheapest and easiest option.
“I feel that now it is up to buyers to show the supermarket they prefer.
No doubt, if everyone opts for banana leaf packaging, they will stop storing items in plastic and this will also drive other great ideas.

Every piece of plastic ever made still exists on this planet.

Now, more than ever, people are beginning to understand the terrible state our planet is in.
