Necessary materials
Before you begin, make sure you have the following materials on hand:
- Thick cardboard

- Glue stick or hot silicone

- Mark the size of the photo: Use a 10 x 15 cm photo (the standard size). Place it on the cardboard and mark the four corners.

- Cut out the cardboard: With scissors or a cutter, cut out the outer and inner frame. Remember to make the interior hole a couple of millimeters smaller than the photo so that it does not come out.
Step 2: Cover the frame
- Line the frame: Cut out a rectangle of cardboard that protrudes about 2 cm from each side of the cardboard frame.
- Glue the cardboard to the frame: Apply glue to the formed flaps, trim the excess corners to make it cleaner and more aesthetic.
- Cut out strips of cardstock: Cut eight small strips of cardstock to cover the inside corners of the frame. Glue them with a glue stick.

- Make the back support: Cut a triangle out of cardboard and cut its base at an angle to give it a slope.
- Stick the stand: If the frame is vertical, stick the stand on one of the short sides.

Final result
You now have your handmade cardboard photo frame! All that remains is to insert the photograph on the free side. You can personalize your frame using different colors of cardstock, decorations such as ribbons, buttons, or even painting it.
