If you are a garden lover and are looking for a different decoration, you can make spinner flowers that will give it a unique and special touch. Best of all, they will make that home environment look incredible.

Materials:
- 6 Inch x 2 Feet Round Metal Conduit Pipe
- Scissors
- E-6000 glue and/or transparent gorilla glue
- Fidget Spinner (we will be stealing the bearings)
- 2 CD Discs
- Paintings
- Copper pole length is your choice (mine is half an inch by 10 feet)
- Drill
- 5/16 Drill Bit
- 8 in. 5/16 Hex Screw long
- Nylon separators from 3 to 4
- Nut 5/16
- 4 5/16 Washers
- Fun foam sheet
- Muddler or pestle for cocktails to help shape the can

I originally thought about making the spinner with soda cans, but I opted for the can, which was a little more durable. But, you could also easily make this with old soda cans.
Step 2: Cut the petals for the spinner flowers

- First I decided the shape of the petal and the number of petals. I wanted to have 2 layers that rotate independently, so I decided on 5 petals for the front and 5 on the back. I made a larger petal template for the back and a smaller one for the front and copied each template onto paper 5 times. After cutting the template.
- Outside, I sprayed the back with spray glue so I could attach them to the tin conduit pipe for a better fit. I avoided placing the template on the edges that have a crimp and I avoided waves on the end. I have to admit, although you can cut the can with scissors, it makes your hand really tired. I had to rest my hand after 2 or 3 petals.
- After cutting all the petals, I sanded the edges. (As you'll see in the picture, it originally had pointy tips on the petals and a small tab that I ended up cutting off because they were too sharp.)
- As I wanted to create a raised edge on the petal to catch the wind, I left the paper on so I could draw a curved line to follow, so I could mark and fold. I was a little harder to mark than I thought, so I ended up using a pair of pliers to bend the curve. To smooth things out, I placed the petal in a thick layer of fun foam, smoothing out the curves as best I could. Any smooth, round, hard surface can be used instead of the muddler
- Once all the petals have been curled and smoothed, you can remove the paper template.
Step 3: Paint the petals of the spinner flowers

- The following is the table. Tin is a pretty slippery surface, so using a regular brush didn't really work well. So I got out my airbrush and airbrush paints and sprayed the colors.
- You can also easily use canned spray paint. I chose a little green, blue and purple, graduated it on the petal.
- I left this all dry and sprayed on a couple of coats of a clear sealershiny sand Of course, one coat at a time with drying time in between.
Step 4: Stealing the Spinner Bearings

- While all the layers of paint and sealant are drying, you can dig into that spinning wheel to steal the bearings.
- I used a jewelry saw to cut the plastic and it came right off. You will need 2 of these. Grab those CDs. This will be the base to which you need to attach the flowers and attach the bearings.
- The hole in the bearing and the hole in the CD turned out to be perfect.
- They lined up spot on!
- Using a little glue, I glued the bearings to the CD being careful not to get glue on the center ring of the bearing because that is where the rotation should happen.
- When gluing the bearing down, make sure you are on the side of the CD that does not have the liner, as the bearing would stick to the liner alone and the liner could easily be torn off.
Step 5: Add the petals

- When the bearing is secured and cured in place, you can now attach the petals.
- It's a good idea to place them to see exactly where you want to place them and whether you want them to overlap or not. I overlapped it a little so you couldn't see the CD behind it.
- I place them just outside the ring. Place a good strong glue like E-6000 on the CD and press each petal into place.
- Arrange them as you like and let them dry preferably overnight.
Step 6: Assemble
- Now is the time to put it all together. You will first need to drill a 5/16 hole through the copper tubing. Thread the hex screw just to make sure it goes through.
- The assembly of the following components will be like this:

- Slide the first spacer up along the 8-inch hex screw, then the small flower. Then there will be another spacer and then slide in the big flower. After that, another spacer and then a washer.
- Slide this entire assembly through the hole in the copper tube, slide over another washer, and then screw the nut on tightly.

Step 7: Final touches for your spinner flowers
- For the center of the flower, I cut the bottom out of a soda can (sanded the edges), then centered it and glued it to the end of the hex screw.
- I left the copper tube raw hoping it would tarnish, but if you prefer to keep the copper color, you can always spray the post with a clear gloss sealer.
- Now just find a spot in the garden, slide it into the dirt and wait for the wind to pick up.
