Twisted Teens are a ragtag, deeply charismatic band from Louisiana whose soulful twang and ramshackle energy have produced two of the year’s best albums. With a console steel guitar and one of rock’s greatest voices, they blend country-punk hooks with literary grit.
Who Are Twisted Teens?
Caspian Hollywell and RJ “Razor Ramone” Santos form the core of this duo. Their origin story is foggy — neighbours who bonded over a cross-country steel guitar purchase — but their music is mythic and handmade. Hollywell’s gritty voice veers from deadpan meditations to a rich, unpretentious howl.

Breakout Albums in 2026
Their second album Blame the Clown dropped earlier this year, a 12-track set of country-punk that rivals any major-label pop record. Weeks later they released Florida Water Blues, rangier and more introspective. A third album, Holy Cross Tigers, is due before year’s end.
