Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a new contract with Liverpool, committing to the club until 2031 in a major boost for head coach Andoni Iraola. The 25-year-old Hungary captain, who was Liverpool’s standout performer last season under Arne Slot, put pen to paper after months of negotiations. “It’s maybe my biggest day,” Szoboszlai told Liverpool’s website, placing the deal among the top moments of his career.
The midfielder joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in 2023 for £60 million and has since scored 13 goals in the Premier League. His new deal, which extends his stay by two years, ends speculation about his long-term future. Szoboszlai has been tipped as a future Liverpool captain and expressed his ambition to “win everything” with the club.
