The D4vd murder case has captivated the public as new details emerge about the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez. Rising pop singer D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, faces trial for murder, child sexual abuse, and mutilation of human remains after Celeste's body was discovered in an impounded car registered to him.
D4vd Murder Case: The Relationship Timeline
Prosecutors allege that Burke, who was 18, began a sexual relationship with Celeste when she was just 13 in November 2023. Text messages presented during a preliminary hearing reveal a turbulent, off-and-on relationship that stretched back to 2022, when Celeste was only 11. Burke reportedly shared dreams of a future together, including marriage in Italy and children.

However, the relationship was clandestine. Burke allegedly wanted to keep the sexual nature hidden, and when police informed him of Celeste's true age, he claimed she had told him she was 18. The case has drawn significant attention from social media sleuths, especially on Discord, where Burke had been active as a gamer before his music career.
Key Evidence in the Trial
Text messages form a central part of the evidence. In one message from June 2024, Burke allegedly wrote, "i can't wait to move in tg without the cops bitching baby." Earlier, in February, police had visited Burke after finding his number in Celeste's phone log while investigating her disappearance. The mutilation of human remains charges stem from allegations that Burke severed Celeste's limbs to prevent discovery.
