Leroy Merlin Split Air Conditioner Under 300 Euros: WiFi, Silent, Winter-Ready 2026

The Leroy Merlin split air conditioner under 300 euros is the Brokton BRST12, a wall-mounted monosplit unit that promises year-round comfort without breaking the bank. Priced at just 299 euros, it offers cooling and heating via a heat pump, WiFi control, and silent operation—features often reserved for pricier models.

For homeowners tired of inefficient portable units or noisy fans, this split system could be a game-changer. But what exactly do you get for under 300 euros, and is it worth installing? Let's break down the specs, performance, and real-world implications.

What Is the Brokton BRST12 Split Air Conditioner?

The Brokton BRST12 is a wall-mounted split air conditioner sold exclusively by Leroy Merlin. It's designed for medium-sized rooms between 20 and 30 square meters, such as living rooms or master bedrooms. With 3.52 kW of cooling power (approximately 3,000 frigorías), it delivers solid performance for typical residential spaces.

Unlike basic cooling-only units, this model features an Inverter system with heat pump, meaning it can both cool and heat. That makes it a year-round solution, especially useful in winter when you don't want to rely solely on radiators or electric heaters.

Key Features and Technical Specifications

At first glance, the Brokton BRST12 packs impressive specs for its price point. Here's a quick rundown of what stands out:

• Cooling capacity: 3.52 kW (≈3,000 frigorías) – suitable for rooms up to 30 m².
• Heating via heat pump: Provides fast, efficient warmth in winter without extra appliances.
• Energy rating: Class A, ensuring lower electricity consumption during long use.
• WiFi connectivity: Control the unit remotely via smartphone app.
• Silent mode: Reduced noise output for bedrooms or living areas.
• Price: 299 euros at Leroy Merlin, with up to 19% off installation if contracted through them.

These features make it a compelling alternative to more expensive split systems, especially for budget-conscious buyers.

Performance: Cooling and Heating Capabilities

With 3.52 kW of cooling power, the Brokton BRST12 is well-suited for average-sized rooms. It uses Inverter technology, which adjusts compressor speed to maintain the desired temperature efficiently, rather than constantly switching on and off. This not only saves energy but also extends the unit's lifespan.

In heating mode, the heat pump extracts warmth from outside air and transfers it indoors—even in cold weather. This is far more efficient than resistive electric heaters, which convert electricity directly into heat. For mild to moderate winters, the BRST12 can serve as a primary heating source, reducing reliance on radiators.

Energy Efficiency and Cost Savings

The Class A energy rating is a major selling point. It means the unit operates within EU efficiency standards, consuming less electricity than lower-rated models. Over time, this can translate into noticeable savings on energy bills, especially if you use the air conditioner frequently.

However, keep in mind that actual consumption depends on usage patterns, room insulation, and local climate. Still, for a unit at this price, Class A efficiency is a rare find.

Installation and Additional Costs

While the unit itself costs 299 euros, installation is extra. Leroy Merlin offers professional installation with a discount of up to 19% depending on the model chosen. Installation typically involves mounting the indoor and outdoor units, connecting refrigerant lines, and ensuring proper drainage.

It's essential to factor in installation costs when budgeting. DIY installation is not recommended for split systems due to refrigerant handling and electrical work. Hiring certified technicians ensures safety and optimal performance.

Comparison with Other Split Air Conditioners

To put the Brokton BRST12 in context, here's how it stacks up against typical entry-level and mid-range split systems:

As shown, the BRST12 holds its own against pricier alternatives, offering features like WiFi and heat pump that are uncommon at this price point.

Who Should Consider This Air Conditioner?

This unit is ideal for renters or homeowners looking to climate-control a single room without a huge investment. It suits small apartments, bedrooms, or living areas where a central system isn't feasible.

If you live in a region with mild winters, the heat pump function can effectively replace portable heaters. And for tech-savvy users, WiFi control adds convenience—adjust settings from your phone before you get home.
