The innovation of DeliQueue
The previous implementation was based on serialized processing. This meant that threads were managed sequentially. If one thread delayed longer than expected, the next one had to wait, often leading to dropped frames and visible UI stutter.

However, the upgraded system Google calls DeliQueue which essentially means that it allows threads to move forward without waiting for others to complete, significantly reducing delays in graphics performance. All this leads to a much better visual result and much better performance overall.

• observed 4% fewer dropped frames in applications
• and 7.7% fewer lost frames in the system UI, as well as in interactions with the launcher.

The numbers may not be impressive at this point, but they translate into smoother interactions, smoother transitions between the various elements of the OS and UI.
