NeoGeo Pocket Console with 40 Licensed Games Drops to $69.90 2026

The Unico Pocket NeoGeo handheld console is now on sale at MediaMarkt for just $69.90, down from its regular price of $99.99. This retro gaming device comes with 40 officially licensed NeoGeo games, including classics like Metal Slug and The King of Fighters.

If you're traveling this summer and want to enjoy some gaming on the go, this deal offers a budget-friendly way to relive arcade favorites. The console's portable design and built-in game library make it a compelling option for retro enthusiasts.

What Makes the Unico Pocket NeoGeo Stand Out?

The Unico Pocket NeoGeo features a horizontal layout similar to high-end handhelds like the Steam Deck, though at a fraction of the cost. It includes dual joysticks and a directional pad, providing comfortable controls for various game genres.

What truly sets it apart is the official NeoGeo license, ensuring that all 40 pre-installed games are legitimate classics. Titles from franchises such as Metal Slug, The King of Fighters, and Samurai Shodown are included, offering hours of nostalgic entertainment.

Display and Audio Quality

The console sports a 4-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 960 x 720 pixels, which is sharp enough for its size. It also houses dual speakers, delivering clear audio without the need for headphones.

These specs might not rival modern devices, but they are more than adequate for the classic 2D games in its library. The IPS screen ensures good viewing angles, so you can play comfortably even when sharing the screen.

How Does It Compare to Other Retro Handhelds?

While there are many retro consoles on the market, the Unico Pocket NeoGeo distinguishes itself with its official licensing and dedicated game library. Unlike emulation-based devices, it offers a curated selection of authentic NeoGeo titles.

However, it lacks the ability to add more games, which might be a limitation for some. But for those who want a hassle-free way to play classics, it's a solid choice.

Who Should Buy the Unico Pocket NeoGeo?

This console is ideal for gamers who grew up with NeoGeo arcade games and want to revisit them on the go. It's also a great pick for travelers seeking a portable entertainment option without breaking the bank.

If you prefer modern games or the flexibility of adding your own ROMs, this might not be for you. But for fans of classic fighting and run-and-gun titles, it's a nostalgic trip worth taking.
