Well-known Bloomberg analyst Mark Gurman yesterday revealed new details about how the renewed Siri will look and work in iOS 27. Apple has reportedly already "hidden" elements of the new aesthetic in the official WWDC 2026 promotional image, thus indirectly revealing the direction it is following.

According to Gurman, Apple has consciously chosen to incorporate elements of the new Siri into promotional material for WWDC 2026. The Swift logo featured on the related page uses a dark background with a white primary color and accents of pink, dark blue, purple and orange — a visual language that the new Siri will adopt in a softer, less saturated version. Siri in iOS 27 will have a dark theme as the only option, with no light mode, at least in the current development phase.

If what Gurman describes is confirmed at WWDC, Apple is finally doing what it should have done years ago: turning Siri from an audio command tool into a true conversational app. For the user who is used to using it at night or via text, the dark-only interface seems a reasonable choice — although the absence of a light mode may create complaints.
