Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold: Leaked with 100x zoom! 2026

Samsung is preparing the Galaxy Z TriFold to compete with Huawei, which has already announced two TriFold devices. Today we have information about Samsung's implementation, which shows that we will have significant upgrades where the company's other foldables have been lagging behind. The biggest of these will be the camera zoom, which is missing from the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

The leak actually came from two tipsters, @TechHighest and @evowizz. We see a number of designs that highlight the device's GUI, trying to show off what it can do in multitasking mode. But in these official drawings, we also see the camera implementation, which shows the zoom reaching up to 100x. Obviously we are talking about digital zoom, but the device should have the appropriate telephoto lens and sensor to reach that high, with somewhat acceptable quality. The truth is, of course, that in terms of zoom, Samsung has fallen dramatically behind the competition and we hope that we will not see the Galaxy Z TriFold with the same setup as the Galaxy S25 cameras.

However, even this zoom is better than nothing, let alone what Samsung devices have been offering since 2019, when the first Galaxy Z Fold was announced. Since then we have a simple telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom and a sensor of only 10MP, which is in no way capable of quality photos in the years 2025.

Unfortunately, the leak doesn't give us more information about the sensors and lenses of the cameras, nor does it tell us if the lens will be a simple telephoto lens or a periscope. Regardless, it will be a very nice addition to be able to take high zoom photos on a device that is sure to cost an awful lot of money. If the simple Z Fold 7 comes at 2,300 euros, we are afraid to guess what the Galaxy Z TriFold will cost.

Rumours so far have the Galaxy Z TriFold's main camera coming with the same 200MP sensor that Samsung has been using for three years, since the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The device is rumored to arrive in November, at a separate event to celebrate the creation of the first Trifold phone. I wish Samsung would bring something really new to its zoom phones, if only to clean things up a bit, since the competition is miles ahead in terms of photography.
