Donald Trump's unverified claims of China election meddling in the 2020 election have reignited fears of a ploy to challenge midterm results. In a primetime address, the former president cast doubt on U.S. electoral integrity, accusing China of interference without providing evidence.
Background of the Allegations
Trump's 25-minute speech at the White House repeated familiar boasts about the economy but pivoted to unsubstantiated claims of foreign interference. He stated, "No country can be great without fair and honest elections," while alleging that the system is "catastrophically" flawed.
