The Ukraine drone expo disaster has led to the court appearance of organizer Vasyl Goncharuk after a Russian strike killed at least 11 people. The attack targeted a weapons exhibition outside Kyiv, prompting a negligence case against the head of the Armada weapons industry association. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated the event “certainly should not have been taking place there.”
Court Proceedings and Allegations
Prosecutors accused Goncharuk of failing to obtain official authorization for the gathering of over 300 attendees, including military personnel and state representatives. The event was promoted on social media, and only a small shelter was provided. Goncharuk appeared in court limping, having sustained light injuries in the missile strike. He was remanded in custody as the investigation continues.

The Russian capital and surrounding areas faced multiple drone incursions.
