Concacaf whistleblower Mel Brennan reveals the depths of FIFA corruption in his explosive new book, Fixing Football. With firsthand experience as an executive during the corrupt reigns of Jack Warner and Chuck Blazer, Brennan offers an unprecedented look inside the global soccer organization’s dark underbelly.
Inside the Concacaf Corruption Scandal
Brennan worked at Concacaf when the office was located on the 17th floor of Trump Tower, where Chuck Blazer lived on the 49th floor. The intertwining of soccer executives with political and business elites created a culture of impunity. Brennan notes, “They were all so intertwined and so much a part of the interlocking elite that accountability was a distant dream.”

The FBI Investigation and Whistleblower Role
Brennan served as a confidential source for the FBI during their investigation into FIFA and Concacaf officials. He reveals that on two occasions he was en route to meet investigators when they told him to wait. “I literally turned my car around,” he recalls. The 2015 raids on a Zurich hotel and Concacaf headquarters in Miami came as no surprise to him.
