FIFA President Gianni Infantino has been called to appear before Congress as part of an investigation into his ties with former President Donald Trump. The probe, led by House Judiciary Committee Democrat Jamie Raskin, seeks documents on gifts, payments, and benefits provided to Trump and his associates.
Infantino's Relationship with Trump Under Scrutiny
The investigation intensified after Trump awarded Infantino a newly created FIFA Peace Prize at the Kennedy Center in December. FIFA also opened an office in Trump Tower last July, raising questions about the organization's political alignment.
