Mother's Heartbreaking Plea from India
Speaking from India to ITV News, Kaur's mother Baljeet said: "We send them somewhere safe to study, then this happens. We didn’t realise hooliganism and violence is happening there too. We want justice. We want our daughter’s body returned from Hayes." The family only learned of her death on Friday and has no one in the UK to handle repatriation.
Community Support and Fundraising Efforts
The Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall gurdwara set up a GoFundMe page to cover funeral costs and repatriation. As of Monday morning, over £55,000 had been raised. The funds will help bring Kirandeep Kaur's body back to her village in Punjab, India, and support her grieving family.
