Seven Best Shows to Stream This Week: Meet the Owens & Dog Park 2026

Looking for the best shows to stream this week? We've rounded up seven must-watch titles, including the new documentary series Meet the Owens and the heartwarming Dog Park. From celebrity docuseries to gripping documentaries, there's something for everyone.

Meet the Owens: A Glimpse into a Football Legend's Life

Michael Owen, the former Liverpool and England striker, opens his doors to cameras in this new Prime Video series. The show explores his racing empire (he owns 140 horses) and his family life with four children. Owen calls himself a “boring prick,” but the series reveals a more nuanced picture—a well-to-do, middle-aged man who embarrasses his kids and indulges his passions. It's a candid look at celebrity life that will confirm or challenge your preconceptions.

Adults: A Comedy That Struggles to Find Its Footing

This Disney+ comedy about twentysomethings sharing a house in urban America returns for a second season. With a self-referential cameo from Girls star Zosia Mamet, it tries to stand out but remains a directionless stew of bad decisions and casual hookups. While it's perky and watchable, it never quite transcends its Friends-inspired predecessors. If you're a fan of light, character-driven comedies, it's worth a look.

9/11: Reunited – A Moving Tribute to Humanity

National Geographic's documentary series takes an uplifting angle on the 9/11 attacks, focusing on survivors who owe their lives to strangers who risked everything. Many of these survivors have never met their guardian angels, and the show reunites them with frequently moving results. As the event recedes into history, this series reminds us of the humanity behind the numbers.

Dog Park: A Lighthearted Escape

While we await more from Colin from Accounts, Dog Park offers a charming alternative. This show celebrates the simple joys of canine companionship and the community that forms around a neighborhood dog park. It's a feel-good pick for animal lovers and anyone needing a break from heavier content.
