Nick Park's Wallace and Gromit stop-motion animations deliver entire action-adventure feature films in just 30 minutes, and A Close Shave (1995) and A Matter of Loaf and Death (2008) are perfect examples. These cracking double bills combine romantic subplots, visual gags, and thrilling plots that captivate audiences of all ages.
A Close Shave: Woolly Adventures and Canine Villainy
In A Close Shave, Wallace (voiced by Peter Sallis) invents a giant machine that shears sheep and knits woolly jumpers. While running a window-cleaning business, he meets Wendolene Ramsbottom (voiced by Anne Reid), who owns a wool shop unaffected by a wool shortage. Their shy romance contrasts with the sinister dog Preston, who forces Wendolene into sheep-rustling. A runaway sheep leads to hilarious chaos in Wallace and Gromit's home.
