Apple is preparing the presentation of the iPhone 20 for 2027, in a moment described as “One More Thing”. According to the same information, Samsung is testing a variant with a 3D curved screen. The term 3D probably refers to an OLED panel that is curved on three of the four sides and one side is flat. This approach differs from the quad-curved design attributed to the iPhone 20.

It has not been confirmed whether the terms of the display supply partnership require Samsung not to directly copy the quad-curved design. The adoption of the 3D curved screen in a flagship Galaxy S is timed after the launch of the iPhone 20, with a possible horizon of early 2028.

It remains unclear whether the next version of One UI will emulate Apple's Liquid Glass. This interface is said to bring out impressive reflection effects when combined with the new screen.
