Tutorial to build a barbecue with a sink, these types of elements are made of different materials, from stone to stainless steel.
The most common are those made with lightened concrete or refractory brick, which are very resistant to high temperatures. We have opted for a prefabricated barbecue with refractory brick, which also has a built-in sink.

Step 1

We begin the work by presenting the three vertical supports or legs of the barbecue on the concrete slab, we square them well and with a pencil we mark their position.
The barbecue needs a consistent floor; a solid and level base. It is not advisable to place it directly on the ground because it can become destabilized and split.
If you do not already have a concrete slab in your garden, you will have to build a bench first.
Step 2

Next, we prepare the mortar following the manufacturer's instructions. We put 7 parts of mortar and one of water in a bucket, and with a trowel we mix well until we obtain a homogeneous mass.
Step 3

To prevent the mortar from drying quickly in the sun and then cracking easily, we will moisten the base of the vertical supports and the area of the floor where the legs will be placed with water. To carry out this task, we will use a brush.
Step 4

We apply the dough to the floor and place the legs in position, checking that they are perfectly level and plumb. Then, we tap a few times with the rubber mallet, so that the pieces sit properly.
Step 5

We apply mortar on the vertical elements and place the two shelves. To do this work we will need the help of another person, since the pieces weigh considerably. After checking that the shelves are level, we will let the product set well for approximately 7 days; In this way, we will achieve a very solid foundation.
Step 6

When the time indicated by the manufacturer has elapsed, we will proceed to place the other three vertical pieces on the shelves, fixing them with the same product. We seat them correctly with the rubber mallet, level them and remove the excess dough.
Step 7

To fix the countertop and assemble both the hearth and the fireplace, we are going to use a refractory mortar that resists high temperatures very well (up to 1200º). We will make the mixture in a plastic bucket, with the proportions indicated by the manufacturer.
Step 8

Now, we are going to put the pieces that will act as decorative and reinforcing arches. After moistening the joint areas, we apply the dough that we have just prepared and place them in position.
Step 9

We apply refractory mortar again on the vertical pieces that are on top of the shelves, and we put both the countertop and the piece that has the built-in sink, centering them properly. We seat them with the mallet, which in this case will be made of rubber, to avoid damaging the pieces.
Step 10

The next step will be to place the two side walls and the rear of the home, using the same product. Both the gray mortar and the refractory mortar are included in the kit.
Step 11

In the same way we place the upper piece of the hearth and the reinforcing arch. It will be much easier to assemble the barbecue if we have the help of another person, especially when handling the main parts.bigger.
Step 12

It's the fireplace's turn. With the spatula we apply the dough on the upper piece of the hearth and place the base of the fireplace.
Step 13

Next, we put the upper piece of it, also fixing it with the refractory mortar. Afterwards, we let the product set.
Step 14

To finish assembling the barbecue, we place the two chimney smoke outlet pieces and the finishing cover. Keep in mind that the notions that we are giving you in this section are indicative, since we are teaching you how to assemble a specific model.
Step 15

With the barbecue already assembled, we drilled a hole in the sink to fit the faucet. To carry out this task, we will use the drill equipped with a hole saw of a diameter suitable for the tap that we are going to install; in this case, 40 mm.
Step 16

Then, we place a sealing gasket over the hole and insert the tap with its hoses, positioning it correctly.
Step 17

To finish the job we only have to make the plumbing connections. We are going to take advantage of the water intake from the hose that we have in the garden, so we will have to join the two hoses from the tap with a T-shaped fitting.
Step 18

We put an adapter on the union piece and screw on the hose. Finally, we place a bucket under the sink and check that the installation works correctly.
