The Trump administration’s controversial guide to manhood includes mandatory testosterone screening for troops, rebooting the Iran war, and bizarre corn dog references that have left many questioning White House priorities. This week, defense secretary Pete Hegseth announced a new policy requiring testosterone checks for US military personnel aged 30 and over, framing it as a return to traditional masculinity.
Testosterone Screening and the Department of War
Hegseth’s video, titled “The High-T Department of War,” signals a shift back to aggressive military posturing. Critics argue this move ignores the 231,000 active-duty women in the US military, potentially alienating a significant portion of the force. The mandatory testosterone screening has sparked debate about gender equality and readiness standards.

Rebooting the Iran War
Simultaneously, the US is restarting its conflict with Iran, a decision many see as premature. “This latest version of the Iran war feels like a reboot no one asked for,” noted political analysts. The timing mirrors the disappointing reception of the live-action Moana film, highlighting a pattern of rushed sequels.
| Policy | Impact | Reaction |
|---|---|---|
| Testosterone screening for troops | Excludes 231,000 women | Mixed, with feminist backlash |
| Iran war reboot | Renewed Middle East tensions | Global criticism |
| Corn dog references | Undermines seriousness | Widespread mockery |
White House Betting Scandal and Corn Dog Antics
Lower-ranking operatives are also making headlines. The teleprompter operator for Trump allegedly earned $100,000 betting on speech content via Kalshi, leading to unpaid leave. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “There are very strict ethical guidelines here at the White House,” a comment widely seen as ironic given the chaos.
Meanwhile, JD Vance’s reaction to Joe Biden eating ice cream has raised eyebrows, with some interpreting it as unintentional arousal. The corn dog, a symbol of American fairs, has become a bizarre meme in this context, further trivializing serious policy discussions.
Key Takeaways
- Testosterone screening reflects a narrow view of masculinity.
- Iran war reboot risks unnecessary conflict.
- White House betting scandal undermines credibility.
- Corn dog humor distracts from real issues.
