When I first heard about the Aiper IrriSense 2, I thought it was a gimmick. After all, our garden had been thriving for decades with a simple hose and sprinkler setup. But after testing this smart sprinkler, I realized it's not just a gadget—it's a game-changer for anyone who wants to keep their lawn and plants healthy without constant attention.
What Is the Aiper IrriSense 2?
The Aiper IrriSense 2 is a smart sprinkler that connects to your Wi-Fi and gives you full control over your watering schedule from your phone. Unlike traditional sprinklers, it doesn't have a built-in water tank; instead, it hooks up to a standard hose and a power source. But don't let that fool you—its real magic lies in its connectivity and precision.

With a 360-degree head and a range of about 10 meters in a straight line, it delivers water in a gentle, rain-like mist rather than a harsh jet. This prevents soil erosion and ensures even coverage. According to Aiper, it can cover up to 445 square meters, which is more than enough for most residential gardens.
Why a Smart Sprinkler Might Be Worth It
I used to think smart sprinklers were unnecessary. But then I realized the convenience: just like an automatic litter box for cats, it gives you peace of mind when you're away from home, especially during hot summers. You no longer have to worry about your plants withering while you're on vacation.
Moreover, the Aiper IrriSense 2 offers granular control. You can set specific watering schedules for different zones, adjust the duration and frequency, and even monitor water usage. The Wi-Fi antenna is surprisingly strong, ensuring a stable connection even in larger gardens.
Key Features and Performance
During our testing, the IrriSense 2 impressed us with its ease of setup and reliable performance. The app is intuitive, and the sprinkler responded quickly to commands. Here are the standout features:
- 360-degree coverage with a 10-meter radius for even watering.
- Rain-like water delivery to prevent erosion and promote deep root growth.
- Strong Wi-Fi connectivity for remote control from anywhere.
- Customizable schedules for different areas of your garden.
- Weather integration (via app) to skip watering when rain is forecast.
One of the most impressive aspects is the build quality. The unit feels durable and is designed to withstand outdoor conditions. However, it does require a power outlet, so you'll need to place it near one or use an extension cord.
