The Honor Pad X9 Max is the brand's most ambitious tablet yet, offering a 13-inch IMAX Enhanced display and a quad-speaker system at a launch price of just €299. This review covers what you get for the money and whether it delivers a fantastic multimedia experience without breaking the bank.
Design and Build: Slim and Light for Its Size
At just 6.72 mm thick and 618 grams, the Pad X9 Max is impressively portable for a 13-inch tablet. Honor has managed to keep the weight down without sacrificing build quality, making it comfortable to hold for extended reading or streaming sessions.

The design language is familiar and understated, but the slim profile and large screen make it stand out in the budget segment. It's a device that feels more premium than its price suggests.
Display and Multimedia: A Cinematic Experience
The 13-inch display with IMAX Enhanced certification is the star of the show. Combined with the four-speaker setup, it turns the tablet into a portable cinema. Whether you're watching movies, YouTube, or streaming series, the experience is immersive and detailed.
Honor emphasizes that with compatible content, the Pad X9 Max delivers a truly cinematic experience. The large screen and loud, clear audio make it ideal for consuming media in any room.
Performance and Software: Google Play and Ecosystem
The tablet runs on Honor's ecosystem with full Google Play Store support, meaning you have access to all your favorite apps. The 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration is adequate for everyday tasks like browsing, streaming, and light productivity.
Honor has focused on building hardware that competes with top-tier tablets without matching their prices. The Pad X9 Max is a testament to that strategy, offering a balanced package that doesn't skimp on essentials.
Accessories and Productivity
With the optional keyboard and HONOR Magic-Pencil 4s (USB-C), the Pad X9 Max transforms into a portable productivity tool. It's not a full laptop replacement, but it handles note-taking, document editing, and sketching well.
The launch promotion even includes a keyboard, making it an even better value for students and professionals on a budget.
