Aston Villa have signed former Everton goalkeeper Emily Ramsey on a free transfer, while Bethany England joins Crystal Palace in a busy Women's Super League transfer window. Ramsey, 25, earned an England call-up in 2023 for the Arnold Clark Cup-winning squad and remains a highly rated shot-stopper despite not yet earning a senior cap.
Emily Ramsey's Career Journey
Ramsey was a regular in England youth international sides across all age groups and is highly admired by Aston Villa's coaching staff. She helped Manchester United win promotion to the Women's Super League via the second-tier title in 2018-19 before spending three years at Everton, initially on loan from United. Ramsey also had a stint at Liverpool between 2017-18 but never played for the Merseyside club.
