The Berlin Pride van attack suspect has been shot dead by police, ending a manhunt for the alleged Islamist terrorist who drove a minivan into a crowd and then attacked people with a machete near the city's Pride festival. German officials confirmed the death of 21-year-old Abdul Ballout during a police operation in the Spandau district. One woman was killed and 29 others injured in the Saturday evening assault near the Brandenburg Gate, cutting short one of Europe’s largest LGBTQ+ celebrations.
